Dr. Clarence Lo, professor emeritus for the Department of Sociology, recently received the Writing Intensive Teaching Excellence Award for academic year 2020-2021, which included a monetary gift and recognition on the Campus Writing Program website, as well as the 2021 Celebration of Teaching Virtual Conference website.
Lo teaches courses in political sociology, social movements, inequity, theory, and “Class, Status, and Power.” He is an author as well as an educator, and has published, researched, and taught on right-wing social movements, among other interests. “The Department of Sociology congratulates Dr. Lo on this well-deserved award,” said Brian Houston, department chair.
